The mission of the LVPA Vocal Department is to develop healthy technique through singing a variety of classical, jazz, and theater repertoire in solo and ensemble settings.
LVPA Jazz and Contemporary Music Mission Statement
The ultimate goal for the major in Jazz and Contemporary Music is to develop rather than trainmusicians for careers in professional music and prepare them to be competitive in higher education. Through a complete curriculum that includes courses in theory, history, business and recording as well as technique, ensemble and practical experience, the concept of a complete musician is accentuated allowing our students to grow intellectually as well as artistically.
