Administration

Michael Platt has served as an educator for more than three decades. He has worked as a teacher and administrator in both urban and suburban schools. He holds graduate degrees in education from Harvard and Northeastern Universities, as well as a Master of Social Work Degree from Marywood University, and a Bachelor of Liberal Studies/Sociology from the University of Delaware. Mr. Platt joined the staff of LVPA as Director of Guidance in the summer of 2007, and assumed the position of Principal in January of 2008.
His interests lie in building a strong school culture which values and rewards creativity, diversity, and excellence in both the artistic and academic domains.
