Brian D. Clifford came to LVPA in March 2003 (near the end of the school’s first year), where he began as a substitute teacher. He was hired for the following school year
(2003-2004) as a full time teacher of English, with classes in both tenth and eleventh grades. He also teaches journalism and is the faculty advisor for The Performer, the LVPA school newspaper. A freelance writer, Clifford has penned many articles for newspapers and magazines, as well as advertising copywriting for print, radio, and television. He is well known as a jazz pianist in our region, having performed in many venues throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley, Poconos, and New Jersey. He often performs on piano at LVPA, accompanying students who sing or play jazz. In 2008, Clifford was named the faculty advisor to the Young Artists Ensemble, a group of student-performers who go into the community to entertain.
